Women's Fencing Collects Three Wins at Brandeis Fencing Invitational

WALTHAM, MASS – The Bears headed to Brandeis University Sunday afternoon to compete in the Brandeis Fencing Invitational taking wins over Drew, Cornell and Lawrence.
The Bears won three out of four rounds with a combined score of 79-29.
In the epee, the Bears went 31-5. Individually, Ashley Luo posted an 8-1 record on the day. Three Bears recorded six wins, Dasha Smuk ended 6-0, Kira Nguyen ended 6-2, and Amy Mao finished 6-1.
Closing out the category was Isabella Pucci (5-1).
In the foil, Brown went 24-12. Individually, Grace Li posted a 7-5 record with Neve O'Neil close behind tallying a 6-0 record.
Rounding out the foil category were Apoorva Talwalkar (5-4) and Jessie Chen (6-3).
In the sabre, the Bears went 24-12. Individually, Ibla Vadasz finished 8-1 in the sabre, with Anika Sinha close behind (7-0), and Soph Bililies (6-3).
