Women's Basketball Hosts Stonehill on Thursday

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's basketball team will return home on Thursday to host the Stonehill Skyhawks at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
Thursday's game will serve as the team's Mental Health Awareness Night. The Bears dedicate this game to bring awareness to prioritizing mental health, and destigmatizing the conversations around it.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (3-5)
- Brown traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico over the Thanksgiving break to compete in the Puerto Rico Clasico Tournament. There, the Bears faced Kent State and Colorado State. Brown went 1-1 in the tournament, losing 51-74 to Kent State and winning 69-63 over Colorado State.
- Junior guard Grace Arnolie led Brown with 20 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in last Saturday's matchup against the Rams.Â
- First-year guard Gia Powell followed Arnolie with 15 points with the second-most on the team. She hit three three-pointers, and made six field goals. After an impressive performance against Colroado State, Powell was named the Ivy League's Co-Rookie of the Week.
- First-year forward Aima Ofunrein continued to put in the work, going four-for-four in field goals against the Rams. Ofunrein ranks second in the Ivy League in field goal percentage behind Brown's Gianna Aiello.
- Grace Arnolie continues to lead the Bears in scoring with 111 points so far this season, averaging 13.9 points per game.
- Stonehill hosted the UAlbany Great Danes on Sunday, suffering their fourth loss in a row with a final score of 59-80.
- Brooke Paquette led the Skyhawks in scoring against UAlbany with 14 points.
- Sharn Hayward leads Stonehill in scoring with 108 points this season. She averages 15.4 points per game. Hayward ranks second in the NEC in scoring, behind Mercyhurst's Bailey Kuhns.
- Kylie Swider leads the NEC in field goal percentage with .522.
- Stonehill currently has the best offense in their conference with an average of 67.9 points per game. The Skyhawks have totaled 475 points across seven games.
- Thursday's game marks the second time in program history that the two teams will meet.
- The Skyhawks beat the Bears 69-58 during the 1981-82Â season.Â
