PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown Track and Field associate head coach Darcy Wilson has received the 2024 USA Track & Field (USATF) Terry Crawford Distinguished Female in Coaching Award.
The award recognizes a female coach who has shown an exceptional level of accomplishment, passion, and initiative in coaching education. It is presented annually to recognize one female coach who has exemplified passion and leadership nationally for the promotion of USATF coaching education. She receives the award one year after gaining USATF Level 1 Instructor Certification.
Wilson rejoined Brown's staff in 2023 as the associate head coaching chair for throwing events after previously serving as the throwing coach from 2012-2016. She spent seven seasons at Harvard in between her stints at Brown. This is her 16th collegiate coaching season.
In her first season back, Wilson coached several athletes to top 10 school record marks including Chidinma Agbasi who earned a school record mark of 19.54 meters in the weight throw.
Coach Wilson is extremely appreciative of the support she's received from Brown University and head coach Ken Hunt throughout her coaching journey.
