Layla Shell Named CSC Academic All-District

PROVIDENCE, R.i. - Junior Layla Shell of the Brown women's soccer team was named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
To be considered, a student-athlete must have participated in 90% of the team's games played or must start in at least 66% of the contests, have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale), and reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
Shell started and appeared in all 17 games during her second season with the Bears. Shell netted a goal against Harvard (Sept. 28) and also recorded an assist in Brown's 2-0 win over Providence (Sept. 12).
Shell was one of seven Bears to accumulate over 1,000 minutes played during the 2024 campaign.
