
Women's Basketball Hosts Holy Cross in Home Opener

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's basketball team is set to host Holy Cross on Wednesday, Nov. 13 at the Pizzitola Sports Center in their home opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Scouting the Bears (1-1)
- Brown earned their first win of the season in their last contest against Monmouth. The Bears capped the game with a 20 point advantage over the Hawks, with a final score of 81-61.
- Senior Gianna Aiello had herself a career game, netting 23 points in the game.
- First year Gia Powell posted a new high of 11 points, and shot 75% from three-point distance.
- The Bears were able to capitalize on Monmouth's 18 turnovers, scoring 22 points off of turnovers.
- Holy Cross played their last game on Saturday, Nov. 9, posting a 61-49 win over UMass Lowell.
- Junior Simone Foreman led the Crusaders in scoring, closing out the game with 13 points.
- Holy Cross lost their first game of the season to Quinnipiac. A four point difference decided the game.Â
- Junior Kaitlyn Flanagan currently leads the team in scoring after two games, with a total of 33 pints.
- Brown's all time record against Holy Cross is 3-8.
- The pair last met in the 2023-24 season, where the Bears lost 54-62.
- Brown will look to add another tally to the win column against Holy Cross.
