
Men's Water Polo Beats LIU; Falls to Princeton to Close NWPC Play

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's water polo split its final two NWPC games of the season on Sunday, falling to Princeton and beating LIU.
PRINCETON 16, BROWN 12
Mate Tymcyna and Mac Berry each had three goals but the Bears could not overcome a second quarter deficit in its loss to Princeton. Ilias Stothart and Dominik Balla each had two goals for Brown. Dimitris Kratimenos had eight saves on the day.
The game was tied at four after the first quarter but Princeton took control, winning the second quarter 6-3. The Tigers kept Brown at bay the rest of the way.
BROWN 18, LIU 8
Goran Narancic picked up five goals and four other Bears had two goals each as Brown closed out the weekend with a win over Long Island. Kole Newman had 15 saves for Brown.
Brown jumped ahead quickly with six goals in the first quarter and led 10-3 at halftime. The Bears came out in the second half with a 5-2 third quarter advantage to put the game away.
UP NEXT
Brown will host Fordham for an exhibition on Saturday (Nov. 16) before taking part in the NWPC Tournament on Nov. 22-24.
