Men’s Tennis Concludes Day One at Ivy League Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Brown men's tennis team completed the first day of the Ivy League Championships on Friday.
The doubles pairing of Alex Finkelstein and Zander Bravo advanced to the round of 16 while Noah Hernandez advanced to the round of 16 in the singles bracket.
Finkelstein and Bravo defeated Milan Markovits and Aleksandar Mitric from Princeton, (8-4) to advance to the round of 16. Noah Hernandez and Lukas Phimvongsa fell to Alan Kam and Evan Wen from Princeton, (7-8).
In singles, Noah Hernandez picked up a round of 32 win over Miles Groom from Dartmouth, (6-1, 6-3).
Valdemar Pape from Harvard defeated Alex Finkelstein, (3-6, 4-6) and Jason Shuler from Yale defeated Lukas Phimvongsa, (1-6, 2-6).
Zander Bravo suffered a singles loss to Jack McCarthy of Cornell, (2-6, 0-6).
Finkelstein and Bravo will continue doubles action and Noah Hernandez will continue singles action on Saturday, Oct. 26.
