Ella Weil Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Freshman Ella Weil of the Brown women's soccer team picked up Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Weil's Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honor came on Sept. 30 after she scored the game-winning goal in Brown's 2-1 win over Harvard (Sept. 28).
This past weekend, Weil scored Brown's goal in a 1-1 draw against Columbia (Oct. 19). This season, Weil leads all freshmen with 13 points this season and leads all freshmen with six points during Ivy League play, she also leads all Ivy League rookies with five goals this season.
Weil's goal and point totals also ranks first on the Bears and her 1.18 points per game ranks third in the Ivy League.
This weekend, Brown will play its final home game of the regular season when they welcome Cornell to Stevenson-Pincince Field on Saturday, Oct. 26, kickoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on ESPN+. Prior to the contest, Brown will honor its six seniors.
