
Coed and Women's Sailing Post Another Successful Weekend

The coed team participated in three events this weekend, the Moody Trophy, Danmark Trophy and the BU Invite. The women's team sailed to one event this weekend, the Women's ACC's Round 1B.
Starting strong, the Brown Bears 1 coed team earned a win at the 17-team Moody Trophy at URI. The Bears found consistency in mastering the right side, finishing No. 1 at the Regional Regatta. The Brown Bears 2 team finished seventh out of 17.

One team finished no. 8 out 20 at the Danmark Trophy at Coast Guard this weekend. Brown was a part of a head-to-head tiebreaker against University of Pennsylvania, where the Bears came out on top.

One coed team finished No. 2 & No. 3 out of 18 at the BU Invite at Boston University. Bears 2 finished just ahead of Bears 1, Brown was recognized for having multiple top-three finishes at the Fundamental Regatta.

The women finished No. 5 out of 17 teams at the Women's ACCs Round 1B at Brown, qualifying for the Women's Atlantic Coast Championship at the U.S. Naval Academy on October 12-13.

The Bears gear up for another successful weekend as Brown sailing is set to partake in four events this weekend. The women's team is headed to Connecticut for the Stu Nelson Trophy as the coed team heads travel around Massachusetts and Rhode Island for the Great Herring Pond Open, Coed ACC Round 1, and the Sister Esther Open.
