Women’s Swimming and Diving Earns 197-103 Senior Day Win Over Columbia

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimming and diving (3-3, 3-3 Ivy) defeated Columbia (1-3, 1-3 Ivy) 197-103 on Saturday in the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center inside the Nelson Fitness Center.

Brown honored its seniors competing in their final home regular season contest. The Bears will host the 2024 Ivy League Championship in late February.
"It's such a special honor to celebrate the seniors at our last home dual meet of the year," said Kate Kovenock, Mary Ann Lippitt Women's Swimming/Diving Coaching Chair. "We showed a great deal of passion and grit with our team's performance as a whole, and it's always a good sign with championship season on the horizon."
INSIDE THE RESULTS
Jenna Reznicek, Gillian Tu, Hannah Ahn and Samantha Scott earned the win in the 200 yard medley to begin the day, finishing in 1:39.88.
Sara Barrett earned the win in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 10:00.39 and Anna Podurgiel won the 200 yard freestyle at 1:49.41.
Reznicek collected another victory in the 100 yard backstroke, earning nine points with the 52.99 performance. She was tops in the 200 yard backstroke as well, concluding the event in 1:59.05.
Tu won the 100 yard breaststroke at 1:01.47 and Zehra Bilgin's 1:59.39 finish in the 200 yard butterfly topped the event. Bilgin also won the 100 yard butterfly at 53.99.
Scott and Morgan Lukinac went 1-2 in the 50 yard freestyle, while Lukinac won the 100 yard free with a mark of 50.39.
Podurgiel's 2:02.71 mark in the 200 yard IM won the event.
The 400 yard free relay team of Bilgin, Lukinac, Dana Li and Kelly Dolce capped the day with a first-place finish at 3:23.68.
Elena Yeh's 260.40 score in the 1-meter dive led all divers.

The Bears visit Cornell on Friday at 5 p.m. for a dual.
