Ivy League Releases Preseason Football Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Brown football team has been picked to finish eighth in the 2023 Ivy League Preseason Football Poll, the league announced on Monday. The poll was voted upon by 16 media members, two representing each of the league's eight institutions.
Reigning champion Yale took home first place in the poll with 122 total points and 13 first place votes. Princeton was second with 103 points and one first place vote, followed by Penn in third. Harvard rounded out the top half of the league's preseason ledger in fourth place, while receiving one first place tally.
Columbia finished in fifth place while picking up the final first place vote, followed by Dartmouth (54), Cornell (37) and Brown (24).

3. Penn – 90

The Bears landed eight players on the 2023 Phil Steele Preseason All-Ivy Team, including three returning All-Ivy selections from last season in senior receiver Wes Rockett, defensive back Cooper DeVeau and junior defensive back Isaiah Reed.
Fans can get their season tickets for the 2023 season today at today BrownBears.com/tickets. The Bears will kick off the 2023 season on Saturday September 16 at Bryant. The Ivy League schedule will open up one week later on September 22 with a Friday night showdown at Harvard. The home opener at Richard Gouse Field at Brown Stadium is set for Saturday, September 30 against Central Connecticut State.
