COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Brown Field Hockey standout and 2022 First Team All-Ivy selection Lucy Adams was named to the USA Field Hockey U-21 Women's National Team, announced by head coach Tracey Paul earlier today.
Adams is one of 18 Americans who will represent the United States at the 2023 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup later this year in Santiago, Chile.
No stranger to international play, Adams was previously named to the Under-21 squad for the 2023 Junior Pan-American Games in Barbados. Adams and the United States took the win over Argentina in the final to win the gold medal.
On College Hill, the Andover, Massachusetts native started all 17 games for the Bears in 2022 and ranked second on the team in goals (5) and points (15). Her five assists ranked third.
Adams was one of six Bears to start all 17 games this fall. Notably, she recorded points in seven straight games in the middle of the season and had a goal and assist in Brown's 2-0 win at Dartmouth.
In addition to First Team All-Conference honors, Adams garnered NFHCA First Team All-Northeast honors, becoming the ninth Bear to pick up First Team All-Region accolades from the NFHCA.
Adams is one of two Massachusetts natives named to the United States roster alongside goalkeeper Ellie Todd.
