
Love Qualifies for National Championships in Long Jump

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Brown junior jumper Zach Love has punched his ticket to the NCAA National Track and Field Championships.
Competing in the NCAA First Round long jump on Wednesday evening, Love turned in a leap of 7.49 meters, which finished him 12th overall in the event, sitting in the final qualifying spot for the NCAA National Championships, which will take place June 7-10 in Austin, Texas. It marks Love's first time qualifying for the national championships.
Love was joined in the long jump First Round by John McNeil, who placed 27th overall at 7.31 meters. McNeil will have another chance to qualify for Nationals on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in the high jump. Lauren Yeboah-Kodie and Chiamaka Odenigbo will also be competing in the First Round on the women's side this weekend with a chance to qualify for the National Championships.
