Women's Sailing Places Third at Team Race National Championship

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's sailing team finished in third place out fo 12 teams at the ICSA Women's Team Race National Championship this weekend at Stanford.
The Bears finished the event with an 11-8 record, behind just Yale, who won the event with an 18-1 mark, and Stanford at 17-2. MIT (10-9) and Boston College (8-8) rounded out the top five.
Brielle Willoughby, Katherine McNamara, Blaire McCarthy, and Caroline Bayless served as the team's skippers, while Emi Ruth, Brianna Ross, Francesca Edmands, Savannah Young, and Kaitlyn Hamilton, and Helen Horangic served as Crews.
The coed team was also in action on the weekend, taking sixth out of 18 teams at the NEISA Open Dinghy Championship. Connor Nelson, Liam O'Keefe, Isabel Cox, and Nora Ong competed in Division A, while Guthrie Braun, Jed Bell, Emily Mueller, and Lily Shore sailed in Division B.
