Women's Water Polo Takes Fifth in CWPA Tournament, Beating Bucknell 17-6

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown women's water polo earned a 17-6 win over Bucknell in the fifth-place game of the CWPA Tournament on Saturday afternoon to close out the season for the Bears.
For their efforts, Madeleine Poissonnier and Zoe King were named Second Team CWPA All-Tournament Team
Madeleine Poissonnier led the Bears with four goals in the win. Five other Bears each scored two goals in the victory over the Bison.
Brown jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter with Claire Pisani netting two first quarter goals and Lily Weiser, Sierra Martin and Ella Palmer all scoring once.
In the second quarter, Emily Suong, Tallulah Clancy and Poissonnier all scored as the lead grew to 8-1 at halftime.
The Bears continued the scoring run after halftime as Poissonnier scored three times and Zoe King and Sophie Golub scored once. After three quarters of play, Brown led 13-1.
Weiser, Martin, Clancy and Palmer all tallied goals in the final quarter as Brown cruised to the win.
