
Men’s Lacrosse Ends 2023 Season with 13-11 Win over Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. – Brown (6-8, 2-4 Ivy) outscored Dartmouth (6-6, 1-5 Ivy) 6-1 in the third en route to a 13-11 victory over the Big Green on Saturday at Scully-Fahey Field.
The win extends Brown's streak over Dartmouth to 14, matching the program's longest win streak over the Big Green (1984-97).
Marcus Wertheim finished with three goals and two assists, senior Devon McLane added two goals and two assists, and Gavin King and Matteo Corsi combined for four goals.
Wertheim made it 1-0 Brown after a Big Green turnover with 12:15 remaining in the opening quarter. The ground ball in the first for Matthew Gunty gave the senior 200 for his career, becoming the 14th in program history.
Dartmouth scored three goals to take a 3-1 lead before Devon McLane's goal seconds later cut the Big Green lead to one after the opening quarter.
Corsi began the second with a goal to erase the home team's lead. At the half, Dartmouth led by one.
Brown scored the second half's first three goals to follow Jack Kelly and Wertheim closing the first half with goals of their own. After a Big Green goal, Trevor Yeboah-Kodie, King and Devon McLane extended the Brown lead to four heading into the final quarter.
Aidan McLane led the team with 29 goals this season and Devon McLane finished with 50 points.
Connor Theriault posted six saves on Saturday.
