PROVIDENCE, R.I. – No. 6 Brown women's crew retained the Dunn Bowl by defeating Cornell on Saturday on the Seekonk River in the teams' lone home race of the season.
Â
"It was excellent racing under ideal conditions, and we thank Cornell for joining us on the Seekonk today," said John Murphy, the Loyalty Chair for Women's Crew. "Our Cornell race is one of our longest running dual meets and the trophy is the Dunn Bowl named after John Dunn a former Cornell head coach. It was our only home race this year and it was great to see so many parents and alums, especially the members of the Class of 2022 who came back to cheer on the team and see the new Empacher Varsity 8 which was named in their honor."
