Women's Crew has Successful First Day of Ivy League Invite

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown women's crew won each of the four races it competed in on the first day of the Ivy League Invitational Saturday morning.

Winning races were the First Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, First Varsity 4 and the second Varsity 4.

In the first race of the day, Brown's 1V8 clocked a time of 6:22.363, ahead of Southern California (6:29.003) and Rutgers (6:31.317).

Brown's 2V8 then finished in 6:24.600, which was in front of Rutgers (6:35.400) and USC (6:39.00).

Up next was the A4, which had the largest winning margin for a Brown boat, crossing the finish line in 7:07.901. The time was more than 12 seconds ahead of USC (7:20.299) and more than 15 seconds in front of Rutgers (7:23.821).

Finally, the B4 won a close race with a time of 7:18.700. Faster than Rutgers (7:21.800) and Rutgers C4 (7:26.000).

The remainder if the racing was canceled due to rain in the area.
