
No. 9 Women's Crew Wraps Up Competition at 2026 NCAA DI Rowing Championship

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The No. 9 Brown women's crew wrapped up competition at the 2026 NCAA DI rowing championship earlier today, with all three boats racing in their respective Petite Finals.
The Bears finished tenth overall in the team trophy standings with 77 points.Â
The Varsity Eight, coxed by Summer Balla-Kellett and stroked by Isla Wilding, crossed the finish line in 6:00.061, good enough for a fourth place finish. This result marks a tenth place finish overall at the regatta, solidifying the program's status as one of the best in the nation.
The Second Varsity, coxed by Caitlyn Roddy and stroked by Sydney Chait-Walter, finished their Petite Final in fifth place with a time of 6:08.770. The 2V8 race was the most competitive of the day, with the Bears narrowly missing out on fourth and third place finishes, falling behind the Syracuse Orange by 0.130 seconds and the California Golden Bears by roughly 1.5 seconds.Â
The A4, coxed by Brooke Halvorsen and stroked by Ellie Knight, had the best finish of the day for the Bears. Coming in third place with a time of 6:54.134, the A4 finished the regatta in ninth place overall.Â
