Rasmussen Honored as Ivy League Rookie of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. – After a strong relief appearance on Saturday at New Orleans, Brown freshman pitcher Carter Rasmussen has been recognized as the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Rasmussen made his second career appearance in relief in Saturday's game at UNO, entering in the fourth inning. He tossed 3.0 innings of one-run ball while allowing just two hits and striking out seven without allowing a walk. Overall this season, he holds a 2.08 ERA through 4.1 innings, with eight of his 16 outs coming via strikeouts.
Rasmussen and the Bears will return to action this Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in Cary, North Carolina with a four-game series against Penn State.
