
Eight Earn All-ECAC Honors to Round Out Indoor Track Season

BOSTON, Mass. – Two members of the Brown men's track and field team, and six from the women's team earned All-ECAC honors this weekend at the ECAC/IC4A Track and Field Championships in Boston. The Bears had several middle distance and distance runners compete on Saturday and Sunday, marking the conclusion of the indoor track season.
ALL-ECAC
Men
Aaron Siff-Scherr – 1,000 meters
Jesse Edelstein – 1,000 meters
Women
Lily Harding – 5,000 meters
Emily Moini – 5,000 meters
Stephanie Kriss, Amy Willig, Julia Schriefer, Nimrit Ahuja – Distance Medley Relay
Seniors Aaron Siff-Scherr and Jesse Edelstein both earned All-ECAC honors in the 1,000 meters. Siff-Scherr placed fifth in the finals on Sunday in 2:25.07. Edelstein ran 2:27.05 in prelims and finished eighth in the finals.
The Bears had two runners earn All-ECAC honors in the 5,000 meters on Saturday, with both Lily Harding and Emily Moini setting new personal records in the event, with Harding finishing in fourth place in 16:56.89, and Moini finishing seventh in 17:21.73.
The four members of Brown's DMR team also earned All-ECAC laurels for their seventh place finish of 11:48.85, courtesy of Stephanie Kriss, Amy Willig, Julia Schriefer and Nimrit Ahuja.
Willig set a personal-best in the 500 meter prelims on Saturday in 1:16.02, and ran 1:16.67 in Sunday's finals.
Kriss set a new PR in Saturday's 800 meter prelims at 2:13.13. Ahuja ran 4:55.94 in the mile to finish 12th overall out of 29 runners. Isa Stronski set a new 3,000 meter personal record at 9:42.05, while Isolde McManus finished in 9:53.24.
Brown will now have a three-week break before the start of outdoor track and field season, which kicks off on March 23 at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina.
