Sailing Takes First at Duplin Women's Team Race

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's sailing team claimed first place at the Joe Duplin Women's Team Race Interconference at Tufts this weekend.
The coed team came in second at the Admiral Moore Team Race Interconference and sixth at the Jan Friis Trophy Team Race.
The women's team took first out of 10 teams at the Joe Duplin Women's Team Race thanks to a 10-4 record. Bears sailing at the event included Brielle Willoughby, Blaire McCarthy, Caroline Bayless, Emi Ruth, Francesca Edmands, Savannah Young, Kaitlyn Hamilton, and Helen Horangic.
At the Admiral Moore Team Race, the Bears finished with an identical 15-2 record with first-place Dartmouth, but lost out on tiebreakers to take second out of 10 teams. Representing the Bears were Guthrie Braun, William George, Liam O'Keefe, Connor Nelson, Emily Mueller, Lily Shore, Nora Ong, and Isabel Cox.
The Bears were sixth of nine teams at the Jan Friis Trophy. Hunter Zonnenberg, Jed Bell, Leyton Borcherding, Tommy Styron, Hannah Sellers, Brianna Ross, Menasha Leport, and Caroline Keeffe-Jones represented Brown.
