Lau Named Ivy Defensive Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Emmie Lau of the Brown women's lacrosse team has been named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
Lau helped lead the Bears to a 2-0 week with wins over Bryant and Columbia. She led Brown with seven groundballs and five caused turnovers on the week. She added 18 draw controls to round out the dominant week for the senior midfielder.
Following the Columbia game on Friday, her averages of 3.0 ground balls, 2.13 caused turnovers, and 5.63 draw controls per game led the Ivy League.
The Bears take on No. 12 Notre Dame today at 4 p.m. in South Bend, Ind.
