
Ivy League Releases Preseason Baseball Poll

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Brown baseball team was picked to finish sixth in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, the league announced on Friday, exactly one week before the start of the 2023 season.
The Bears received 45 points in the poll, ranking ahead of seventh place Princeton (31) and slotting in behind fifth place Yale (68). Reigning tournament champion Columbia was tabbed as the preseason favorite with 124 points and 12 out of 16 first place votes. Defending regular season champion Penn was picked second with three first-place votes, followed by Dartmouth in third place with one first place vote.
Brown finished the 2022 season 13-23 overall and 8-13 in Ivy play, finishing in sixth.
The 2023 preseason poll was voted upon by the baseball athletic communications contact at each institution, along with one media member representing each school.
Brown opens up the 2023 season on Friday, February 24 with a three-game series at Georgia State.
