PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown men's basketball team will host Cornell this Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
The Bears and Big Red are tied for third in the Ivy League with identical 5-4 records. Penn is also 5-4. The result in Saturday's game will give the winning team the edge in the race for Ivy Madness, with the top four teams in the conference qualifying for the postseason tournament.
The game will stream live on ESPN+. Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets online at BrownBears.com/tickets prior to their arrival at the Pizzitola Sports Center. Fans should either download their digital tickets to display on a mobile device or print them at home prior to arrival.
Need to Know
1. Head Coach Mike Martin '04 is one win away from setting the record for most wins by a head coach in program history. Martin sits at 133 career wins, currently tied with Stanley Ward who has held the record for 54 years, since 1969. If Martin were to set the record this season, he will have accomplished the feat in 10 seasons, compared to Ward's 15.
2. Paxson Wojcik is one of just 14 players in the nation to be in the top ten of their conference in points, rebounds, and assists. He is seventh in points (13.8), third in rebounds (7.1), and sixth in assists (3.1).

Scouting the Bears (12-10, 5-4 Ivy)
- Brown completed a road Ivy sweep last weekend by taking down Dartmouth 73-61 on Friday night, before getting revenge for an early season loss at Harvard on Saturday, 68-65.
- Paxson Wojcik earned Ivy Player of the Week honors for his efforts in the two wins as the senior averaged 19 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal. Kino Lilly Jr. averaged 22 points while shooting 65.2% from the field and 61.5% from three.
- The Big Red dropped a pair of road games last weekend, both by single digits. In the two high-scoring contests, the Big Red fell at Princeton 89-82 and at Penn 92-86.
- Cornell is the only team in the Ivy League to have six players averaging at least 8 points per game. Greg Dolan leads the way with 13.6 and is followed by Nazir Williams (12.9), Chris Manon (11.5), Guy Ragland Jr. (9.7), Sean Hansen (8.8), and Isaiah Gray (8.4).
- In this season's first meeting between the two teams, Cornell came away with an 80-73 victory in Ithaca, N.Y.
- The Bears led by six with just under 15 minutes remaining in the game, but the Big Red got hot down the stretch to pull away for the win. Brown got back within two with three minutes to go, but it was as close as the Bears would get as they would not score again.
