PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The women's soccer coaching staff of Kia McNeill, Matt Mones, Raleigh DeRose and Andre Reis have been named the East Region Staff of the Year following a vote of the region's coaches, the United Soccer Coaches announced on Friday.
This is the second time in McNeill's eight-year tenure as Head Coach that her staff has won the award.
The 2023 Ivy League Coach of the Year, McNeill and the staff led the Bears to a 12-3-2 record, including a perfect 7-0-0 mark in the conference and the Ivy League regular season championship for the fourth-straight year.
The Bears advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 10th time in program history and hosted as a No. 3 seed, where they took down Quinnipiac in the first round at Stevenson-Pincince Field.
Brown was consistently ranked in the NCAA RPI throughout the regular season, topping out at No. 5 in late October.
Eight members of the team were awarded with All-Ivy recognition, including three-time Offensive Player of the Year Brittany Raphino, who is a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Award and was recently named an All-American for the third time. Raphino and Sheyenne Allen were also named All-East Region.
The staff has now earned a spot on the ballot for National Staff of the Year. The United Soccer Coaches will announce the National Staff of the Year on Dec. 15.
