Men's Swimming and Diving Leads After Day One of Bruno Invite

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's swimming and diving leads the Bruno Invitational after one day of competition. The Bears finished in first in all six events on the night.
Brown started the meet with a win in the 200 freestyle with the team of Marcus Lee, Jonathan Gim, Tucker Peterson and Nathan DePiero winning in 1:109.04.
The Bears then took the top-three spots in the 500 freestyle with Andrew Berzolla winning the event (4:23.97), followed by Aidan Wilson (4:24.71) and Max Hardart (4:26.62).
Jack Kelly won the 200 IM with a time of 1:44.60 and Jake Regenwetter was third in the event (1:47.88).
Gim earned another win in the 50 freestyle, touching the wall in 19.86 and Lee was third with a time of 20.10.
In the first diving event of the meet, Rowland Lawver won the 1-meter springboard with a score of 345.90. Nicholas Shen was third in the event with a score of 299.55.
To close out the night, Brown's team of Zach Le-Nguyen, Kelly, DePiero and Gim won the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:12.89.. The squad of Jerry O'Mara, Lee, Chris Ma and Donavan Jeng finished second (3:15.87).
UP NEXT
Brown will continue competition in Day Two of the Bruno Invitational on Saturday (Nov. 18) with prelims beginning at 10 a.m. and finals taking place at 5 p.m.
