PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A strong rushing attack by the Big Green lifted Dartmouth over Brown by a score of 38-13 on Saturday afternoon in the season finale at Richard Gouse Field at Brown Stadium. Paired with a Yale victory over Harvard, Dartmouth clinched a share of their 21st Ivy League title, joining Harvard and Yale as tri-champions. Brown (5-5 overall) finishes the season tied with Penn for fifth in the Ivy League at 3-4 in league play.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

Dartmouth outgained Brown 434-342, with 392 of Dartmouth's yards coming on the ground and 274 of them coming in the first half.
Senior QB Jake Willcox was 20-for-37 passing for 198 yards and one touchdown.
Senior Graham Walker had a game-high 92 yards receiving and a touchdown on five receptions.
Senior Wes Rockett added eight catches for 70 yards, including 44 yards after the catch.
Junior Stockton Owen led Brown with 49 yards rushing on 12 carries.
Senior Nate Lussier rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown, while also going 4-of-5 passing for 56 yards.
Junior Kyle Philbin had a career-high 11 tackles, including 1.0 tackles for loss. The 11 stops are the most by a Brown player in a game this season.
Senior Ethan Royer finished with eight tackles and 1.0 tackles for loss.
Junior Isaiah Reed finished grabbed his Ivy-League leading fifth interception of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Dartmouth outgained Brown 117-34 in the opening quarter, with 99 yards coming on the ground, to hold a 7-0 lead courtesy of a 19-yard rush up the middle by Q Jones with 1:08 remaining.
After a 25-yard gain on third down kept the drive alive, Jones scored his second of the game on a 38-yard run at 10:36 of the second quarter to push the Big Green lead to 14-0.
Dartmouth came away with an interception on defense and turned it into seven more points on an eight-yard pass from Jackson Proctor to Chris Corbo to push the lead to 21-0 at 6:26.
Brown answered with an eight play, 75-yard drive, culminating when Willcox hit a wide open Walker in the end zone for a 35-yard score to get Brown on the board with 3:34 left until halftime.
Dartmouth responded just two plays later on a 78-yard run by Proctor off a QB read, making it 28-7.
Dartmouth tacked on a field goal late in the third quarter to hold a 31-7 lead entering the fourth.
Lussier got the Bears on the board again, running a read play and taking off for a career-long 30-yard run to paydirt to make it 31-13 (failed two-point conversion attempt) with 7:30 remaining.
Dartmouth capped the scoring on its ensuing possession with a 39-yard touchdown run by DJ Crowther with 4:15 remaining to make it 38-13.

IVY LEAGUE LEADERS

Willcox finishes the season leading the Ivy League with 292.4 passing yards per game, and in total offense with 301.7 ypg.
Rockett finishes his season as the league leader with 121.2 all-purpose yards per game, and No. 2 in the league with 79.5 receiving yards per game. He also had a league-leading 12.0 punt return yards per game.
Reed led the Ivy League in both interceptions (5) and passes defended (13 total/13.0 per game).
Treyvon Hobbs and Aubrey Parker finish in a four-way tie for second in pass breakups per game (1.0). Cooper DeVeau was sixth in the league in passes defended (.90).
Walker finishes the year 10th in the league at 54.0 receiving ypg.
As a team, Brown finished tied with Harvard for the league lead with 13 interceptions.

Willcox finishes with the sixth-most passing yards in program history (2,924).
Willcox's 285 completion are the fourth-most in single-season program history.
Willcox's 456 passing attempts are the second-most in program history, 11 shy of James Perry's single season mark of 467 from 1999.
Willcox's completion percentage of 62.50 percent is the sixth-highest in program history.
Willcox's 3,017 yards of total offense ranks seventh in program history.
Rockett's 70 receptions are the 11th-most in single season program history.
Rockett's 795 receiving yards this year rank 19th.

Rockett finishes his career with 2,055 receiving yards, good for ninth all-time.
Rockett's 176 career receptions rank seventh all-time.
Rockett's 14 career touchdown receptions are tied for eighth all-time.
Willcox concludes the 2023 season with 31 career touchdown passes, putting him 10th all-time in program history.
