
Fall Sailing Wraps Up With Singlehanded National Championships

NEW ORLEANS, LA- Six members of the Brown sailing teams competed at the Singlehanded National Championships this weekend hosted by Tulane University.
In the Women's Championship Race, Katharine Doble finished in second place, just three points shy of first. The competition remained tight throughout the weekend and ultimately came down to the final race. Doble won the six race day on Sunday to compete in the finals against Tulane and Jacksonville University. Kaitlyn Hamilton finished in eighth place, and Sidney Moyer finished in 10th out of the 18 boat fleet.
In the Open Championship Race, Connor Nelson finished in 10th place. Guthrie Braun and Leyton Borcherding were close in the standings, placing 13th and 14th respectively.
The Bears are excited to close out their season with a National Championship in Match Racing, and a close second place finish in the Women's Singlehanded Nationals.
