Cross Country Competes at Mayor’s Cup

BOSTON, Mass. – The Brown cross country teams had a small contingent of runners take part in the Boston Mayor's Cup at Franklin Park on Sunday afternoon. Each team had three runners compete at the meet, which featured mostly club runners, with the men running an 8K while the women ran a 5K.
Olivia Takla finished the race in 34th place overall out of 74 runners in 19:45. Sara Perez finished 35th in 19:47 and Olivia Bergin placed 41st in 20:14. Sebastian Margetts led the men's team, finishing at the 27:00 mark in 51st place out of 110 runners. Brendan Leahey finished in 27:07 in 56th, and Kadyn Kabuga crossed the finish line in 27:20 to place 62nd.
With the regular season now in the rearview mirror, Brown will set its sight on the postseason, beginning with the Ivy League Heps this coming Saturday, October 28 at Franklin Park.
