Field Hockey Hosts #17 Cornell Friday; Georgetown Sunday for Senior Day

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown Bears (5-7, 1-4 Ivy League) host the 17th-ranked Cornell Big Red (10-3, 4-1 Ivy League) in conference play on Friday before taking on the Georgetown Hoyas (1-13, 0-5 Big East) on Sunday for Senior Day.
Friday's game is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. with Sunday's game starting at 11 a.m. Both games will stream on ESPN+.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED
- Cornell enters the weekend with a 10-3 overall record and rank 17th in the nation per the NFHCA Coaches Poll. The Big Red are 4-1 in conference play with a shootout loss to Princeton as the lone conference blemish.
- Caroline Ramsey leads Cornell with 20 goals and 46 points through 13 games. She ranks second in the nation with 1.54 goals per game.
- Julia Ramsey leads Cornell with 15 assists and is the nation's leader at 1.15 assists per game.
- Between the pipes, Martha Broderick holds a 1.35 goals against average and .695 save percentage in 13 starts.
- Friday's game marks the 44th meeting between the Bears and Big Red in a series dating back to 1979.
- Cornell holds a 24-17-2 all-time record in the series. Brown beat Cornell in 2018 with Cornell winning the three meetings since.
- Georgetown enters the weekend with a 1-13 overall record and 0-5 Big East mark. The Hoyas lost seven straight before taking a 4-2 win over Lock Haven and have since lost the last six games.
- Five of Georgetown's losses have come by a single goal.
- Vivienne Trumpbour leads Georgetown with six goals and 15 points this season. Sophie Towne ranks second on the team with four goals and 12 points.
- Bailey Tietz holds a 3.71 goals against average and .618 save percentage in eight starts while Ella Fahey holds a 3.57 goals against average and .719 save percentage in six starts.
- Sunday marks the sixth meeting between Brown and Georgetown in a series dating back to 2007.
- Georgetown won the first meeting in 2007 with Brown taking the next three. Most recently, Georgetown took a 2-1 shootout win in 2021.
