SCOUTING BROWN
- Brown swept Columbia and earned a five-set win at Cornell to move its win streak to three games. The Bears return home to finish up the first half of the Ivy League season with matches against Dartmouth and Harvard.
- The Bears have not lost an Ivy League game to a team not named Princeton or Yale since Brown fell in four sets to Cornell on Nov. 9, 2019. The Bears have won 22-straight matches against the other five Ivy League teams. During that stretch, Brown has only lost 12 sets and have won 13 matches in 3-0 sweeps.
- With her next win, head coach Taylor Virtue would win her 13th game, the most wins by a head coach in their first season at Brown. Virtue would also tie the record for most Ivy wins by a head coach at Brown in their first season with four.
- Brown has six players currently averaging 2.00 kills per set or more. Mariia Sidorova continues to lead the team with 2.98 kills per set but Kate Sheire is right behind at 2.95.
- Sheire has finished with at least eight kills in each of her last five matches and has hit over .300 in three of them. Sheire has finished with double-figure kills in seven matches this season. Sheire is tied with Kayla Griebl for second on the team with seven matches of 10+ kills.
- Griebl finished with 15 kills in her last match, the second-highest number for the junior this season. Griebl is second on the team with four double-doubles but has not had one in her last three matches.
- Beau Vanderlaan continues to be a focal point for the Brown offense as the junior has had at least seven kills in each of her last 10 matches, including a stretch of six-straight games with double-figure kills. Over her last ten matches, Vanderlaan has hit .447 with five matches above .400 and three above .500. Vanderlaan is hitting .437 on the season, which is .047 higher than her best season hitting percentage in her career.
- Jessie Golden had held down the back line defense for Brown continuing to lead the league with 5.60 digs per set, 1.27 digs more than any other player. Golden has finished with 20 or more digs in seven matches this season and has finished with double-figure digs in all 12 matches she has played in this year.
- The matchups this weekend against Dartmouth and Harvard will be crucial for qualifying and seeding purposes in the Ivy League Tournament. As of this weekend, Brown and Dartmouth are tied for fourth with 3-2 records in Ivy League play. The Crimson are second in the league with a 4-1 record and will play 5-0 Yale before taking on Brown. The top four teams in the league will qualify for the Ivy League Tournament which will be held at the site of the No. 1 seed.
- Dartmouth is 6-8 and 3-2 on the season in Ivy play. The Big Green enter the weekend having lost to Princeton in their last match.

- Amelia Gibbs leads Dartmouth in hitting percentage, hitting .376, good for third in the league and 59th in the NCAA.
- Brown has won six-straight matches against Dartmouth with the last loss being Nov. of 2018 in Hanover.
