Football to Welcome Princeton on Saturday to Resume Ivy Play

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown football team will conclude its three-game homestand this Saturday afternoon when it welcomes Princeton to restart Ivy League play. Kickoff is set for noon at Richard Gouse Field at Brown Stadium and will be streamed live on ESPN+.

2023 BROADCASTS
This season, all of Brown's games, home and away, will be streamed live on ESPN+, except for the Bears' away contest at Penn on Friday, October 27 which will be nationally televised live on ESPNU.
There will be a new format this season regarding radio/audio coverage of all Brown football games. All 10 games will no longer air on the radio and will instead feature live audio broadcasts through the Brown Audio Network on BrownBears.com/Audio. The audio broadcast for all games can be accessed online through the audio links on the team's schedule, as well as on your phone through The Varsity Network app.
OPENING KICKOFF
- Brown and Princeton enter this weekend among six Ivy League teams that all hold a 2-2 record through the first four weeks.
- The matchup pits big offense vs. big defense as Brown's high-octane offense will be tested against Princeton's stout defense.
- Brown ranks 10th in FCS in total offense (444.8 ypg), first in passing offense (346.2) and 22nd in scoring (33.0 ppg).
- Princeton ranks No. 1 nationally in both total defense (211.8 ypg) and rush defense (66.2 ypg), while ranking sixth in passing yards allowed (145.5 ypg) and is second in scoring defense (11.8 ppg).
- The Tigers have yet to allow more than 13 points in regulation this season and their four touchdowns allowed through four games are the fewest in FCS.

JUMPING IN FRONT
• Brown has enjoyed playing with the lead for much of this season particularly early in games. The Bears remain the only team in the Ivy League to have scored first in all four games this season.
• Brown has scored twice on its opening possession this season (1 TD, 1 FG).
TAKING CARE OF THE BALL
• Brown was the last team in the country to have not committed a turnover this season, committing their first two last week vs. URI.
• Brown's turnover margin per game (+1.25) is seventh in the nation. Brown is one of only nine teams in FCS to have committed two or fewer turnovers this season.
• Prior to this season, the last time Brown had gone three straight games without committing a turnover was in 2011.
• Brown only had one game all of 2022 (vs. Penn) without committing a turnover.
• 2023 marks the first season since 2018 where the Bears had more than one game without a turnover.
THIRD DOWN SUCCESS
• Brown ranks third in the nation on third down conversions at 53.8 percent, trailing only North Dakota State (.644) and Howard (.556).
FOURTH DOWN DEFENSE
• Brown is the only team in the FCS that has not allowed a fourth down conversion yet this season, stopping both of their opponents' attempts.
PUTTING THE OPPONENT'S OFFENSE IN PARK
• Senior Aubrey Parker has tallied a pair of interceptions through the first four games, and had a career-high three pass breakups last week vs. Rhode Island.
• He is tied for second in the Ivy League with 1.25 passes defended per game (5 total).
• He ranks second on the Bears with 20.0 total tackles, tying for the team lead with 16 solo stops.
FIRST IN FIRST DOWNS
• Brown leads the Ivy League this season with 111 first downs (27.8 per game), 23 more than Penn, the largest gap between any team.
• On the flip side, Brown has allowed 82 first downs on defense, third-most in the league behind Harvard (86) and Yale (96).
• Brown led the Ivy League with 215 (21.5 per game) first downs in 2022. Harvard (197) was second, the biggest gap between any team.
MOSELEY'S RETURNS
• Since joining the kick return unit for the CCSU game, Ben Moseley has averaged 22.0 yards per return, putting him fifth in the Ivy League this season.
• He has a pair of 25-yard returns (one in each game) through his first six career returns.
FINISHING STRONG
• Brown has outscored its opponents in the fourth quarter in 10 of its last 14 games, while drawing even in two others.
• Brown doubled-up its opponents in 2022, 102-51 in the fourth quarter.
• Brown outscored its opponents in the fourth quarter in seven out of 10 games last season.
