Bears Bested by No. 2 Bulldogs on Saturday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's hockey dropped a home game to No. 2 Yale, 4-0, Saturday afternoon.

The Bears fall to 5-13-1 and 3-9-0 in the ECAC, while the Bulldogs advance to 17-1-1 and 10-1-1 in the conference.

Yale took control with three goals in less than two minutes in the first. Senior Claire Dalton made it 1-0 with 7:37 on the clock from senior Charlotte Welch and sophomore Vita Poniatovskaia. 34 seconds later it was sophomore Emma Harvey from freshman Sylvia Bojarski. Freshman Naomi Boucher pushed the lead to 3-0 at the 6:18 mark from sophomores Tijana Miskovic and Olivia Muhn.

Freshman goaltender Mégane Pilon kept the score the same for most of the second with 21 saves before junior Elle Hartje scored late with assists from Dalton and Bajorski with 35 seconds left in the period.

Pilon kept Yale off the board in the third with 17 saves to set another career high in stops with 51.

Brown hits the road next for a Friday night game at Quinnipiac at 6 p.m.
