KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Seniors Brittany Raphino and Kayla Duran of the Brown women's soccer team have been named to the 2022 Hermann Trophy Watch List, as announced by United Soccer Coaches Thursday.
The award is presented annually and is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year, as determined by the voting of Division I coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches.
Both Raphino and Duran were already named Players to Watch by United Soccer Coaches. The Hermann Trophy Watch List solidifies their place as being among those expected to be the nation's elite this season.
Of the 60 players named to the list, only four play for Ivy League institutions. Aside from Raphino and Duran, two players from Harvard were also selected.
The Bears open their season next Friday, Aug. 26 with a 12 p.m. kick at Albany.
