PRINCETON, N.J. – Henry Hollingsworth '22 and Gus Rodriguez '22 were named to the 2022 USRowing World Rowing Championship roster, announced by the organization on Friday.
Both Bears will compete with the United States Men's Four at the 2022 World Championships from September 18-25 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Hollingsworth and Rodriguez will race with Nick Mead, a 2017 Princeton graduate, and Rhett Burns, a 2022 Northeastern graduate.
Hollingsworth captained the team as a senior in 2022 and earned Second Team All-Ivy honors with the Varsity 8 crew at the Eastern Sprints and a bronze medal at the IRA Championships. Hollingsworth raced with the 1V crew his entire career at Brown.
Rodriguez was honored as the USRowing U23 Athlete of the Year last fall and stroked the Varsity 8 crew to a second-place finish at the Eastern Sprints and a third-place finish at the IRA Championship this spring.
The duo are the first to represent the Red, White, and Blue at the World Championships since Alex Miklasevich '19 raced with the Men's Eight in 2019. Miklasevich also represented the United States at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo last summer.
