Men's water polo announces 2022 schedule

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's water polo head coach Felix Mercado has announced the Bears' 2022 slate. Brown will begin the season at home with the Bruno Classic and play a total of 17 games at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The Bears will kick off the season playing six games in the Bruno Classic over Labor Day weekend. Brown will play three games on Saturday (Sept. 3), taking on Austin College, Cal Baptist and Gannon. The remaining games of the tournament will be against Stanford and Air Force on Sunday (Sept. 4) and Pacific on Monday (Sept. 5).
"I am super excited to begin the '22 season and the competitive schedule we have put together," said Mercado. "Being able to go out to California twice is a new and interesting challenge for us. I feel that this will prepare us for our conference schedule."
Brown's first NWPC games will be at St. Francis Brooklyn and Princeton on Oct. 1 and the Bears will play their first conference home games on Oct. 8 against Harvard and MIT.
The Bears will host their portion of the Harvard Invite on Oct. 15 and 16, playing host to Gannon, Pomona-Pitzer, Long Beach State and Salem. Brown will hit the road the following weekend for a tournament at Santa Clara.

After closing out the regular season hosting Princeton, St. Francis Brooklyn and Iona, Brown will host the CWPA Tournament on Nov. 18-20.
