Bears Set to Compete at the Women’s USA Rugby 7’s Collegiate Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Fresh off last weekend's Ivy 7's Championships, the Brown women's rugby team is set to close out the 2022 season this weekend when they head to the USA Rugby 7's Collegiate Nationals in Atlanta, hosted by Kennesaw State University.
Over 60 different teams will be competing this weekend across the men's and women's tournaments. The Bears will play three games on Saturday, followed by the playoff rounds on Sunday. Brown will be competing in the Gold Division, which is comprised of NIRA Division I and D1 Elite schools AIC, Army West Point, Central Washington, Dartmouth, Harvard, Life U., Lindenwood, Penn State, Queens, Sacred Heart and West Chester.
Action throughout the weekend will be streamed live on Peacock and aired on NBC/CNBC. Click here for broadcast schedule.
SATURDAY SCHEDULE (BROWN)
10:40 a.m. – vs. West Chester (Track Field 2)
1:10 p.m. – vs. Lindenwood (Main Stadium Field 1)
5:00 p.m. – vs. Dartmouth (Track Field 2)
SUNDAY PLAYOFF SCHEDULE
Women's Gold Cup Quarterfinals: 9:00-10:20 (Field 1) – Peacock
Women's Gold Bowl Semifinals: 11:00-11:40 (Field 2) – Peacock
Women's Gold Cup Semifinals: 2:05-2:49 (Field 1) – CNBC/Peacock
Women's Gold Bowl Final: 3:33 (Field 1) – CNBC/Peacock
Women's Gold Cup Final: 5:11 (Field 1) – NBC/Peacock
Last weekend, Brown had a third-place showing at the Ivy 7's Championships, falling to Dartmouth, Harvard and Princeton in pool play before using a fast start to take down Princeton 34-7 in the Third Place Game.
