PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown Athletics and Recreation has promoted Colleen Kelly '06 to Associate Director of Athletics, Recruiting and Retention, and named Michael Schuler Assistant Director of Athletics, Recruiting. The pair will lead all recruiting responsibilities for all intercollegiate programs, including coordinating recruiting activities, and will oversee recruiting events on campus.
"I want to thank M. Grace Calhoun, PhD., and the Leadership Team for providing me with this opportunity within the Division," said Kelly. "Brown University and Brown Athletics have been a special place for me since I walked through the Van Wickle Gates as a freshman. Being part of the vision to create a centralized recruiting initiative that will capitalize on Brown's unique value propositions is exciting.
With the addition of Schuler, Kelly added "our recruiting office will enhance our external messaging and recruiting efforts as we look to identify, attract and support elite student-athletes. Michael has extensive multimedia experience and we are excited to serve the Division in this capacity."
"I'm excited to be in Providence to become part of the Brown Athletics family," said Schuler. "Everyone that I've met is eager to compete at the highest level and I'm anxious to work with each team to give them the tools and support they need on the field and in the classroom. We've got a great story to tell!"
