PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown senior Ryan Aughavin was selected by the Archers LC in the fourth round of the 2022 PLL College Draft, held last night
The 2022 PLL College Draft marked the fourth in league history. Aughavin is the first Bear drafted to a PLL franchise.
The Glen Head, New York native was one-of-five unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection in 2022 and a Second Team All-Ivy selection as a sophomore in 2019.
In 2022, Aughavin ranks second on the team in points (41), third in goals (28), and tied for third in assists (13). Aughavin collected four hat tricks this season with a trio of four-goal efforts against Providence (Mar. 5), Yale (Apr. 16), and Dartmouth (Apr. 30).
The senior recorded his 100th career point in Chapel Hill against the North Carolina Tar Heels (Feb. 23) and enters Saturday's NCAA game against Virginia with 111 career points.
While Aughavin is the first Bear drafted directly to a PLL team, he is not the first drafted to professional lacrosse. The 16 Bears listed below were taken by Major League Lacrosse teams from 2002 to 2020. The MLL and PLL merged in December 2020.
