Sailing wins Jumbo Team Race

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown sailing team competed at three events during the weekend of April 2-3, winning the Jumbo Team Race at Tufts.
The Bears finished in first out of five teams with an 18-3 record at the Jumbo Team Race. Representing the Bears were William George, Emily Mueller, Mason Stang, Charlotte Costikyan, Leyton Borcherding, Tommy Styron, Francesca Edmands, Sierra Bornheim, Janelle Li, and Olivia Miller.
The women's team finished fourth of out 10 teams at the NEISA Women's Team Race with a 12-9 record. Olivia Belda, Brielle Willoughby, Blaire McCarthy, Caroline Bayless, Madeleine McGrath, Emma Montgomery, Emi Ruth, Savannah Young, and Nora Ong sailed for Brown.
The coed team made up of Hunter Zonnenberg, Jack Murphy, Connor Nelson, Lily Shore, Isabel Cox, Madeleine Montagner, and Julia Reynolds came in 13th of 16 with a 5-10 record at the Marchiando Regatta.
Competition continues next weekend as the Bears compete in five events from April 9-10.
