Women's tennis falls at Cornell

THACA, N.Y. – The Brown women's tennis team fell to Cornell 4-2 Sunday afternoon.

"Yet again, we were able to win the doubles point which has been the highlight of the past three matches," head coach Lucie Schmidhauser said. "Britany continues to bring tremendous fight, energy and fearlessness into every singles match.

"In other singles matches, Cornell was more focused and outcompeted us in crucial moments, which has been the case in quite a few matches this season."

Nora Lee and Ali Benedetto combined to win their doubles match, as did Sophie Reddy and Lindsey Hofflander, earning Brown the team point from doubles.

In singles, Britany Lau was the only Bear to win, though Gabby Soliman was leading when the overall team result was decided.
