REGINA, Saskatchewan – A Brown Football alum is going to the pros, as the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League announced on Thursday afternoon they have signed former Brown wide receiver Jakob Prall '20.
As a senior in 2019, Prall led all Brown receivers with 48 receptions for 594 yards, while ranking second with four touchdowns. His 4.8 receptions per game ranked seventh in the Ivy League, and his 59.4 receiving yards per contest ranked 10th. In 2018, he ranked second on the team with 51 catches for 587 yards, and rushed for 100 yards and three TDs. Prall led the Bears with 51 catches for 587 yards as a sophomore in 2017, while also serving as a kick returner. His performance earned him Honorable Mention All-Ivy accolades in 2017 and 2019.
The Tipp City, Ohio native played in all 40 games throughout his career from 2016-19, finishing with 130 catches for 1,627 yards and six touchdown receptions, while rushing for three more.
Prall was one of three former Brown football players who participated in a Pro Day at Holy Cross last month in front of dozens of pro scouts. The Roughriders' first preseason game is scheduled for May 23 against Winnipeg, with the CFL regular season opening up the second week of June.
