
Rogers Sets 110m Hurdles Mark

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown concluded three invitationals this weekend, highlighted by a record breaking performance by Bretram Rogers at the Sun Angel Classic.
At the Sun Angel Classic hosted by Arizona State, Rogers shattered the school record in the 110m hurdles prelims, crossing the finish line in 13.87. He placed third in the finals with a 14.32 finish, the eighth fastest in program history.
The long jump featured the second best mark by a Brown student-athlete as Altan Mitchell registered a 7.67m.
Kegan Schroeter placed third with the third-best hammer throw in program history (65.18m).
Kevin Fairchild took first place in the javelin with a huge four-meter PR of 70.11 meters, moving him into 12th place in the region this season.
John McNeil posted the fifth-best mark in the high jump for a second place mark at 2.12m.
On the women's side, Erin McMeniman continued to rewrite the record book with a 46.11m javelin toss, the fourth-best in program history, while Sophia Gallucci's hammer toss of 53.85m was good for sixth-ever by a Bear. Daryn Davis' triple jump of 12.40m ranked ninth all-time and Lauren Yeboah-Kodie's 14.30 finish in the 100m hurdles prelim rounded out the top 10.
Kendra Ezeama finished with the ninth best shot put mark at 14.22m.
The men collected 107 points at the Ocean City Invitational for a third place finish and the women finished fourth with 91 points. The men won four events and the women finished atop the leaderboard in three at the Brown hosted invite.
At Friday's Friar Invitational, Nate Price placed fifth in the 3,000 meter.
