Kino Lilly Jr. named Kyle Macy Award Finalist

BOSTON – Brown men's basketball freshman Kino Lilly Jr. has been named a finalist for the 2022 Kyle Macy award. The award is presented annually to the top freshman in Division I college basketball.
Lilly, the only selection from an Ivy League institution, is joined on the list by student-athletes from big-name programs like Duke, Ohio State, Tennessee, Auburn, and Kentucky.
The Glenn Dale, Md. native starred for the Bears as a freshman, leading the team in made three-pointers (73), three-point percentage (.399), and steals (37), and was second in points (13.3/G) and assists (70). All five marks fell in the top ten of the Ivy League and led all Ivy freshmen.
Lilly is the first Bear to appear on the list since Desmond Cambridge following the 2017-18 season.
The 2022 Kyle Macy award winner will be announced on April 1 in New Orleans, the site of the Men's Division I Basketball Championship.
