Shay Maloney Named Mandi Schwartz Student-Athlete of the Year Nominee

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior forward Shay Maloney has been nominated for the Mandi Schwartz Student Athlete of the Year award, the ECAC announced on Wednesday. One student-athlete from each of the conference's 12 women's hockey programs have been honored.
The Mandi Schwartz Student-Athlete of the Year award is presented annually to an ECAC women's hockey player in honor of former Yale women's hockey student-athlete Mandi Schwartz, who passed away after a long battle with leukemia in April 2011.
Maloney is one of 12 finalists from across the ECAC, who are nominated for this prestigious award on the basis of being leaders within their teams, in the classroom, and in the community.

Cornell University: Lindsay Browning

The top three finalists for the award, which will be determined by the ECAC Awards Committee, will be announced next week.
