Women's basketball travels to Princeton and Penn over the weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's basketball hits the road for two games this weekend. The Bears will play at Princeton on Friday (Feb. 18) before taking on Penn on Saturday (Feb. 19).
Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.

ABOUT BROWN
Brown is coming off a seven-point loss to Cornell in its last game. The Bears overcame a 16-point deficit in the third quarter, eventually taking a three-point lead in the fourth, but could not close out the game, falling to the Big Red.
Isabella Mauricio led the Bears with a career-high 25 points. Mauricio has a team-high five 20-point games on the season. The freshman leads the team with 14.2 points per game but has increased that number to 16.5 points per game during Ivy League play. Mauricio has scored in double-figures in nine of the 10 Ivy League games this season (nine-straight) and has scored 20 points in four Ivy League games this year.
Kyla Jones filled up the box score in Brown's two games last week. The sophomore scored 21 points against Dartmouth and added seven assists, six steals and five rebounds against the Big Green. Against Cornell, Jones scored 13 points with five assists, three steals and three rebounds. Jones has six games during the Ivy League schedule with at least 13 points.
Mauricio has been lighting it up from three for Brown, hitting a three in all but one game this season. Mauricio's lone game without a three came against Wagner on Nov. 20 when she went 0-for-5. Mauricio has 17-straight games with a made three, the longest single-season streak since Sophie Bikofsky made a three in 25-straight games in 2013-14. She also has four games with five made threes on the year.
The Bears shooting has improved in the last seven games of the Ivy League schedule. Brown has shot at least .375 from the field in six of its last seven games and has shot .413 or higher in four of those contests.
Brown lost its first game of the year to Princeton, 39-72 on Jan. 15. It was the third-straight game to start the Ivy League schedule taht the Bears lost by at least 30. Since the loss to the Tigers, Brown has not lost a game by more than eight points.
Grace Kirk led the Bears with a career-high 14 points against Princeton. Mauricio was second on the team with 11 points. Brown shot just 27.3 percent from the floor against the Tigers.
BEARS IN THE NCAA RANKINGS
Isabella Mauricio is 18th in the NCAA with 2.77 threes made per game. Muaricio is also 23rd in 3FGs attempted (172) and 3FGs made (61). All three of those numbers are second in the Ivy League. Mauricio's 35.5 3FG% is good for 103rd in the nation.
Kyla Jones leads the Ivy League and is 24th in the NCAA with 2.70 steals per game. Jones if 54th in the NCAA in total steals with 54, second in the Ivy.
Mya Murray sits at 87th in the nation with 1.50 blocks per game.
As a team, Brown sits 56th in the nation with 9.5 steals per game.
ABOUT PRINCETON
Princeton is coming into the game on a 10-game winning streak and is a perfect 9-0 in Ivy League play this season.
Abby Meyers leads the team with 17.9 points per game and has scored in double-figures in 22-straight games. Meyers is also pulling down 6.3 rebounds per game.
Julia Cunningham is averaging 14.3 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game.
ABOUT PENN
Penn is 9-12 overall and 4-5 in the Ivy League this season. The Quakers have won two-straight games and will play Yale before taking on Brown on Friday.
Kayla Padilla leads the team with 19.9 points per game, including a 23-point performance against Harvard in her last game. Padilla also leads the team with 4.1 assists per game. The junior did not play in the first game against Brown this season.
Obi Jordan is averaging 13.8 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game, both are second on the team this season.
