Bears set two school records in day two of the Bruno Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's swimming increased its lead at the Bruno Invitational as the Bears earned wins in all eight events on Saturday night. Two Bears earned program records on the night
The Bears have 1,049 points during 26 events, leading New York University (530) and New Hampshire (516).
The Bears finished first and second in the 400 IM with Sumner Chmielewski (4:16.43) breaking the school record and Brault (4:22.65) leading the way for Brown. Chmielewski broke the school record in the prelims before breaking it again the finals.
On the diving boards, Elena Yeh set a school record and was the top diver for the Bears with a score of 299.70. Bowie Krawczyk took second with 283.95 points and Zoe Le was third with 252.30 points.
Brown opened up the night with a win in the 200 medley relay by the team of Jenna Reznicek, Ellie Brault, Yvonne Jia and Morgan Lukinac. The team finished with a time of 1:41.15.
In the 100 butterfly, Brown finished with the top three times. Jia won the event with a time of 54.89. Nell Chidley was second (54.90) and Zehra Bilgin finished third (55.01).
Brown dominated the 200 freestyle, earning the top five spots and seven of the top eight. Anna Podurgiel won the event with a time of 1:48.07. Lukinac was second in the event with a time of 1:48.57 and Kelly Dolce was third (1:48.65).
The top-three spots in the 100 breaststroke belonged to Brown as well. Brault won the event in a time of 1:03.17. Kaitlyn Holmes (1:03.73) and Amie Barrow (1:04.04) took third.
Reznicek earned a win for Brown in the 100 backstroke, posting a time of 53.08.
The night finished with the team of Bilgin, Sara Barrett, Lukinac and Podurgiel winning the 800 free relay in a time of 7:24.59
