PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Seniors Brittany Raphino and Kayla Duran of the Brown women's soccer team have been named 2022 NCAA Division I All-Americans, as announced by United Soccer Coaches Friday.
This is the first time since 1984, and only the third time in program history, that the Bears have had multiple players named to the All-America teams in the same year. Raphino also becomes just the third Bear to be named an All-American in multiple seasons and first since Colleen O'Day '86 in 1983-84. Frances Fusco '83 is the only other multi-time All-American in program history.
Raphino is a First Team All-American, following up her Second Team appearance last season. Duran has been selected to the Third Team.
Both Duran and Raphino were also named to the USC All-East Region First Team and the All-Ivy League First Team. Raphino repeated as Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight year.
Of the 46 players honored, Raphino is one of just 11 to earn All-America honors for the second time in their careers.
This year's All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
The full list of All-Americans can be seen below.
