PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown men's swimming and diving will hit the road for their first two meets over the weekend. The Bears will take on Yale on Friday (Nov. 4) before heading to Princeton for a double-dual against the Tigers and Dartmouth on Saturday (Nov. 5).
The meet at Yale will begin with diving at 1 p.m. and swimming beginning at 3 p.m. The meet at Princeton and Dartmouth will start at 12 p.m. Both meets will be streamed on ESPN+.
"We are excited to get on the road and compete against three Ivy League schools this weekend, starting at Yale on Friday," said Kevin Norman, Ollie '50 & Kay Patrell Men's Swimming & Diving Coaching Chair. "The 2021-2022 season was a very successful one for us, now it's time to turn the page and rely on our key returners and young talent after graduating 11 seniors. We have had a great stretch of training and are excited to see our work translate into fast November swimming."
The men's squad will be looking to build off a fourth-place finish in the last year's Ivy League Championships. The Bears return multiple Ivy League finalists, including Jack Kelly, who finished third in the 200 breaststroke in his first season a Bear.
Brown returns three swimmers who set school records last season. Kelly set the school record in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke. Lukas Scheidl set the record in the 500 freestyle, and Aidan Wilson set the record in the 1650 freestyle.
Last season, Brown earned a 174-126 win over Yale and a 237-59 win over Dartmouth. The Bears lost their dual meet against Princeton.
